Aug. 14th First grade lessons 1, 2 and 4. They sorted all the art prints into folders with the correct definition printed on it. A game we will use for review through out the year. (Representational, abstract, landscape, sculpture, architecture, painting, still-life, self-portrait, portrait, sketch and genre- which is a new definition.) They made a self-portrait.
Aug. 19th First grade click off lessons 3 and 5 we will start a line folder next week which goes with next weeks lessons also. We reviewed primary and secondary colors and made a color wheel for their color folder. They also made a painting using primary and secondary colors. This has been a great class from the start. Great listeners and the get right to work.
Aug. 14th 3rd grade lesson 1, 2, and 4. Same as above. We sorted prints for review and made self-portraits.
Aug. 19th lessons 3 and 5. They reviewed secondary and primary colors and made a color wheel for their color file. We read pages 12, 14, 16, and 18 in How Artists See Work. They did the end of the unit assessment.
