WRITING 1 - Great listening and attention! We talked about descriptive words and made a more detailed picture of a character from their stories. They did very well.
HISTORY 1- Unit 1 Lesson 3, reviewed continents, equator, oceans and the compass rose. Learned about the different types of land - desert, crater, glacier, mountain, rivers, lakes, peninsula, island. They could point them out from actual photos - the handout was a little unclear for some things, like glaciers. They were really focused and we talked a lot about what they know about all different types of land and water.
SCIENCE 3 - Unit 1 Lesson 3 - reviewed precipitation, air fronts and weather. learned about air pressure and using a barometer to measure it. made a barometer - I don't think it's going to work all that well, but it demonstrates the concept. they should be able to answer the assessment questions - we went over those concepts several times.
