Hi guys!
Science - learned about seeds, germination and seedlings. plants need sun, light and soil to grow (they make their own food - they found this fascinating). started the seed bags, they'll be checking these everyday to make sure the paper towel is moist enough. one bag is to be put in the sunlight, the other in the dark. Isaac didn't do the Germination Train worksheet - might work well as a review.
History - learned about the Illiad (the story of the Trojan War) and the Odyssey (the story of Odysseus' journey home after the war) both written by Homer, the famous Greek poet. They did well on their personal summaries and pictures.
L.A. - learned about alphabetizing and the dictionary. They did very well with this. read the poem Washington in Childrens poetry book. They really liked it, we discussed Washington's life as presented in the poem. Reviewed verb tenses, months and sentence structure.
I'll post friday's lessons tomorrow, when we know if Ranae did any LA in class.
