Wed K Science and History

We had a good day and it was nice to have Quinn back. He didn't seem too tired. He did stop on the trampoline and went inside before everyone else.

History- we reviewed Pilgrims and the Mayflower and the reason why the Pilgrims wanted to leave England. We learned how Pennsylvania was made a colony through William Penn and his agreement with the king. Then we went and identified the 13 original colonies. (at this point Maine was part of Massachusetts).

Science- we introduce the seasons and started with fall. We learned about deciduous and evergreen trees and talked about the leaves changing color and falling and the temperature being cooler, and about hibernation and how the squirrels hide their nuts.
