Thurs. Feb. 23

French homework-- disk 3 ( I will give to Rachelle tomorrow) track 2 lesson 66-72.

Larts- We read "The Shoemaker and the Elves". It was a hard read, but they did well. It took us 30 minutes to get through the read. I was afraid they wouldn't remember anything, but their comprehension was good. We did interviews like they were an elf and I asked them questions (in their notebook) Philip and Isaac had the hardest time using the "I" pronoun when answering the questions. I just couldn't "get" in character. David had the most creative responses, and of course Holden had to get "in" character, so he squatted down and made himself small for his questions. They also colored a picture of what their Elf went on to do after the story.

Science- all about fruits and seeds. Things were getting dicey with everyone, so we only spent about 20 minutes on the lesson. I think they got the jist of it though. Everyone should ask their own assessment questions when plugging into the computer to see if they retained anything.

Have a great week! I will miss you guys!
