LA - learned about homophones, two words that sound the same but are spelled differently. son and sun are examples. read an article about bears and had a good discussion about fiction vs. non-fiction. created an acrostic using BEARS (David said he'd done these before, but he was disappointed that they had to write more than one word for each letter :) learned about using descriptive words to make a story or letter more interesting. they had fun with this one - probably i could have done more with this if i'd done the lesson in the morning.
i'll post friday's LA lessons tomorrow afternoon. got to go to bed now....
