2nd grade Art Unit 6: lessons 8 and 9 complete

We drew a still life set up in color pencil. We looked at Paul Cezanne's still life paintings. Under resources in the art lessons you can pull up artists work if you have some time. We view them often. I think the kids relate to Paul Cezanne's work. Its colorful, simple and homey.

We will start Landscapes lesson 1 next week - Hopefully we can work outside. Get well every one!


K Art lesson 3 still life

We drew a still life set up the kids put together. We looked at Paul Cezanne's still life paintings in a book and online. We talked about his life as a painter. They always ask how the artists become so good. I tell them that some artists choose to do art a s a profession. They find this fascinating.
